During the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, amid societal turmoil, the artist created souvenir-like objects using widely circulated images from news websites.
As tourists, we often visit places that were once flourishing and bring back souvenirs to our everyday lives. She believed that this pandemic would also one day become a memory of the past and created these souvenirs for the future. Perhaps that was her way of objectively assessing the situation and maintaining her calm amid the chaos of those days.
