The artist invited her international friends in Berlin to sing their favorite childhood songs. She wove their voices together to create a sound installation.

Though each song, voice, language, and background is different, they all share a deep love for their hometown, as well as a sense of identity and pride in where they’re from.

This work was nominated for the competition bonn hoeren – sonotopia 2018 by the Beethovenstiftung für Kunst und Kultur der Bundesstadt Bonn.
