Stranger
2015
Performance
After the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, the artist interacted with Parisians as a cute stranger holding a flower instead of a gun.
The city was tense at that time, and there were many security guards on duty. This reflected the widespread fear of an invisible enemy lurking within society. In such an atmosphere, anything unfamiliar could be perceived as either intriguing or repulsive, revealing the dual nature of human psychology. Through this performance, the artist attempted to arise people’s curiosity about strangers.
