The artist moved to Berlin in 2015. At the time, Germany was facing the European refugee crisis. While learning German with refugees, she realized that she was a privileged foreigner who could easily enroll in a university and obtain a visa.
As a privileged foreigner, she traveled “legally” from Germany to Hungary to see the fence on the Serbian border preventing refugees from entering the EU.
