This video installation features two parallel conversations: one between a Korean person who grew up in Germany and another who immigrated there, and one between a person of half-Japanese descent who was raised in Germany and a Japanese person who immigrated to Germany.

They discuss Japanese colonial rule in Korea from 1910 to 1945, World War II in Asia, and the ongoing political tensions between Japan and South Korea regarding these historical events.

Education and environment greatly impact our understanding of history. Even if they are all Asian or Asian-Germans, people raised and educated in Germany will view Asian history differently than those who were raised and educated in Asia. This work illustrates that difference.
